For a homeowner in County Tipperary seeking true energy independence, a standard solar installation wasn’t enough. The goal was to eliminate reliance on expensive grid power during the evening, when electricity demand (and cost) is highest. This required a powerful solar array paired with a smart, reliable energy storage solution, making Munster Solar, the local Tipperary solar installer, the ideal partner.

We designed and installed a powerful 8.1 kW solar PV system, utilising 18 high-performance Aiko 450W panels. This large residential array is specifically sized to generate substantial clean energy throughout the day. The core of this system is the innovative Sigenergy 5kW Hybrid Inverter, seamlessly integrated with an 8kWh Sigenergy Battery.

This Sigenergy battery storage system in Tipperary captures all excess solar energy generated during the day. This stored power is then automatically deployed to run the home’s appliances, lighting, and heating needs long after the sun goes down, effectively providing power through the costly evening peak times. This battery-backed solar system offers the homeowner significant financial savings, blackout protection, and a sense of complete control over their energy usage. For those seeking the best solar battery solution for a Tipperary home, this installation showcases the ultimate step toward a self-sufficient energy future.
