Tipperary Farm – Co. Tipperary | Agricultural Solar PV with Battery Storage

Farm Power with a 10.8kW Solis & Dyness Battery System

Project type: Agricultural Solar PV & Energy Storage Solution
System size: 10.8 kWp (Kilowatt Peak)
Inverter/System: 1 x Solis 5kW Hybrid Inverter
Battery Storage: 1 x Dyness 10kWh Battery
Key Benefit: Estimated annual savings of €1,003.00

This progressive farming operation in County Tipperary faced the common challenge of high and unpredictable electricity costs associated with running milking parlours, pumps, refrigeration, and essential machinery. Given the non-negotiable nature of power for agricultural processes, the farm required a robust, reliable, and grant-eligible farm solar solution. The clear choice was Munster Solar, a specialist in Agricultural Solar PV systems in Tipperary and across Ireland.

We custom-designed and installed a powerful 10.8 kW solar PV system tailored to the farm’s high daytime consumption. This commercial-grade array is paired with a reliable Solis 5kW Hybrid Inverter, ensuring the maximum amount of clean energy generated is used directly on-site. The critical component, however, is the high-capacity 10kWh Dyness Battery.

The integration of the Dyness 10kWh battery allows the farm to store surplus solar energy, providing a vital buffer against grid instability and expensive peak charges. This storage guarantees continuous power for essential operations like chilling and milking, even during brief power outages or when demand surges. With an estimated annual saving of €1,003.00, this Tipperary farm solar system is a smart, sustainable investment that increases energy independence, reduces operational expenses, and future-proofs the farm for generations.
